Naming ceremonies

A Mother’s Wish

I hope my child looks back on today
And sees a mother who had time to play.
There will be years for cleaning and cooking,
But children grow up when you’re not looking.

Tomorrow I’ll do all the chores you can mention
But today, my baby needs time and attention.
So settle down cobwebs; dust go to sleep,
I’m cuddling my baby, and babies don’t keep.

Baby Naming

Most people have been to a christening at least once in their lives, but now many young parents do not feel comfortable going through the motions of a religious christening when they don’t truly feel it in their hearts. But fear not, Naming ceremonies can absolutely fill the gap!

They can be as formal or as relaxed as you would like them to be and are a beautiful opportunity to publicly gift your child their name. Creating this most special of ceremonies is so rewarding and exciting, and can include some wonderful symbolic acts

Naming ceremonies are a wonderful way to build support around a child from all the people in their lives and you can involve those special people who in a religious ceremony would have taken he role of Godparent. In a naming ceremony they would be considered supporting adults or guide parents.  You can even give a special role to other brothers and sisters. If you would like to know more, please contact me for further information. It’s whatever you feel comfortable with.
